Notes and recommendations

-Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, towel dry and leave to air dry.
-Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
-When using the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the water in the basin to clean it but then leave it out, do not leave it floating.
-Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
-Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or other special wood oil occasionally.
-For occasional maintenance you can use very fine sandpaper 320+ and ointments or special natural oils for wood, let the product dry 24h before use.
-If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can gently sand the surface with fine sandpaper 320+ and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the proper functioning of the tool.
-The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.

Sometimes a round shape is not what you need, and that is why I made the V14. Getting a perfectly straight wall or a sharp corner by hand is one of the hardest things to do in pottery. This tool is like a "ruler" for your clay, helping you make clean, straight lines and modern shapes with ease.

I spend a lot of time in my workshop making sure every V14 has a very straight and true edge. Whether you are cleaning the bottom of a bowl or making a tall, straight jar, this tool helps you stay precise while keeping that handmade feeling.
