-Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, towel dry and leave to air dry.
-Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
-When using the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the water in the basin to clean it but then leave it out, do not leave it floating.
-Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
-Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or other special wood oil occasionally.
-For occasional maintenance you can use very fine sandpaper 320+ and ointments or special natural oils for wood, let the product dry 24h before use.
-If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can gently sand the surface with fine sandpaper 320+ and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the proper functioning of the tool.
-The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.

The D-L9 is a professional detailing tool made for potters who understand that the difference is in the details. I designed this tool with a thin, long shape to provide great access to inside areas, making it easy to fix the interior walls and bases of tall cylinders, narrow bottles, or deep bowls.
This tool works perfectly as a precision scraper, allowing you to remove extra wet clay and level the surface with great accuracy. Its refined edges are perfect for making clean bottom rings, cleaning up rims, and sharpening parts where a standard tool would be too big. The lower section features small notches, giving you the creative option to leave delicate textured marks or decorative lines on the clay.
Hand-crafted in my workshop from premium wood, the D-L9 is hand-sanded to a professional finish. The center hole serves as a secure point to hold, providing the feel and steady control needed for important detailing and pressing the clay from the inside.
