Maintenance Recommendations
Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, dry with a towel and let air dry.
Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
When you use the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the basin water to clean it but then leave it outside, do not leave it floating.
Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
Do not leave your very wet tools to dry lying on the table or on the plasterboard; it is important to dry them after washing them with the cloth and leave them hanging from the hole or standing upright on their base, but always let air circulate around them so that the wood can expel any remaining water naturally.
Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or some other special wood oil occasionally.
For occasional maintenance you can use very fine 240 sandpaper and special natural ointments or oils for wood, allowing the product to dry 24 hours before use.
If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can gently sand the surface with fine 240 sandpaper and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the correct operation of the tool.
The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.
SAFETY WARNING
Handle with care: Some tools have pointed ends. While they are not sharpened, they can cause skin injury if used or handled improperly.
Professional use: Keep out of reach of children. Use only for pottery purposes.
Master the perfect base for your textured pots with the D-CV9.
We all know how hard it is to make a sharp and clean line at the bottom of a pot without making a mess. I designed this tool for potters who want their work to have a textured, modern look where the base meets the body with total precision.
I spend many hours in my workshop making sure the angle of the D-CV9 is just right to shape the "foot" of your pot while gliding like a dream. It is a simple way to make your work look high-quality. Whether you are making mugs, jars, or plant pots, this tool helps you stay consistent in a way that fingers alone cannot.
Why is the D-CV9 so useful?
Clean angles: It is perfect for creating that sharp undercut at the base and keeping your walls really showy.
No more wobbly lines: It acts as a solid guide so all the pieces in your set look the same.
Hand-finished by me: I carve and sand every tool in my workshop so it feels soft and balanced in your hand.
Ready for work: It is made from high-quality wood that works great with water and clay during your sessions.
Professional look: It helps you get those perfect details that make your pottery look like it was made by an expert.
