Notes and recommendations

-Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, towel dry and leave to air dry.
-Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
-When using the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the water in the basin to clean it but then leave it out, do not leave it floating.
-Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
-Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or other special wood oil occasionally.
-For occasional maintenance you can use very fine sandpaper 320+ and ointments or special natural oils for wood, let the product dry 24h before use.
-If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can gently sand the surface with fine sandpaper 320+ and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the proper functioning of the tool.
-The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.

The ultimate piece for base and form details: this is the D-L4. This piece is a pottery Tool designed for those who care a lot about the finish of their pots, especially when defining the bottom part and the joints. Its unique shape mixes an angled tip with a rounded base, making it a very useful mix between a detailing piece and a spatula.

This piece is a master at shaping the feet of pots and cleaning bases. The angled tip allows you to cut away extra clay with great precision, while the curved marks on the base are designed to mark the feet of bowls and cylinders directly on the wheel. As a spatula, the D-L4 is ideal for moving clay and fixing the inside areas that need a lot of care.

It is hand-crafted in the workshop from high-density wood and sanded to a very smooth finish. Its small and comfortable body offers a secure grip, giving the strength needed to make delicate changes and fix surfaces like an expert.
