Notes and recommendations

-Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, towel dry and leave to air dry.
-Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
-When using the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the water in the basin to clean it but then leave it out, do not leave it floating.
-Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
-Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or other special wood oil occasionally.
-For occasional maintenance you can use very fine sandpaper 320+ and ointments or special natural oils for wood, let the product dry 24h before use.
-If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can gently sand the surface with fine sandpaper 320+ and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the proper functioning of the tool.
-The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.

The D-L6 is the ideal tool if you enjoy making tall, deep, or narrow pots. It is a long, slender wand designed to reach those spots inside a vase where your hand just won't fit. What makes it special is the small hook at the base, used to clean and shape the bottom with total precision.

With this tool, you can smooth the walls from top to bottom in one go, leaving the clay soft and mark-free. It is perfect for removing extra mud and defining the "foot" of your pot. It is handmade from very smooth wood that lets you feel exactly how you are working the clay, even when you are deep inside the piece.
