Notes and recommendations

Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, towel dry and leave to air dry.
Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
When using the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the water in the basin to clean it but then leave it out, do not leave it floating.
Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
Do not leave your very wet tools to dry lying on the table or on the plasterboard; it is important to dry them after washing them with the cloth and leave them hanging from the hole or standing upright on their base, but always let air circulate around them so that the wood can expel any remaining water naturally.
Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or other special wood oil occasionally.
For occasional maintenance you can use fine sandpaper 240 and ointments or special natural oils for wood, let the product dry 24h before use.
If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can sand the surface with fine sandpaper 240+ and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the proper functioning of the tool.
The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.

The D-P1 is a special tool to fill your pots with beautiful lines and stripes. The best part is that it has two different sides: one side makes thin, close lines, and the other side makes wider, bolder stripes.

It is very fun to use. While your pot spins on the wheel, you just hold it against the clay to draw perfect rings all around it. These stripes are great because, when you paint your pot, the color will settle in the grooves and look amazing. It is handmade from very smooth wood and has two holes for your fingers, so you can hold it firmly and safely.

Why is the D-P1 so great?

Two types of stripes: You can choose between thin lines or wide bands.
Perfect patterns: It helps you keep all the stripes straight and even.
