Maintenance Recommendations
Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, dry with a towel and let air dry.
Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
When you use the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the basin water to clean it but then leave it outside, do not leave it floating.
Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
Do not leave your very wet tools to dry lying on the table or on the plasterboard; it is important to dry them after washing them with the cloth and leave them hanging from the hole or standing upright on their base, but always let air circulate around them so that the wood can expel any remaining water naturally.
Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or some other special wood oil occasionally.
For occasional maintenance you can use very fine 240 sandpaper and special natural ointments or oils for wood, allowing the product to dry 24 hours before use.
If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can gently sand the surface with fine 240 sandpaper and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the correct operation of the tool.
The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.
SAFETY WARNING
Handle with care: Some tools have pointed ends. While they are not sharpened, they can cause skin injury if used or handled improperly.
Professional use: Keep out of reach of children. Use only for pottery purposes.
Sculpt sophisticated silhouettes with ease: meet the V6.
The V6 is a specialized tool made for the ceramic artist who values smooth transitions and complex shapes. I designed this tool with a special profile that features a deep, sweeping inside curve. This specific shape makes it the ideal instrument for fixing the delicate necks of bottles or creating the soft, inward-sloping shoulders of elegant vases.
Hand-crafted in my workshop from premium wood, the V6 acts as a firm and reliable guide against the spinning clay. The edges are carefully hand-sanded to ensure they press the clay effectively, strengthening the walls while leaving a professional, very smooth finish. Like all tools in this series, it includes a center hole that provides a secure point to hold, allowing for total command over the pressure and angle.
Why is the V6 so useful?
Specialized curve shape Made to create and fix complex inside curves and graceful transitions in one smooth move.
High-performance compression The wooden edge moves over wet clay, making the structure stronger and providing a high-quality surface.
Ergonomic grip Features a center hole for a non-slip hold, ensuring you feel the clay and keep precision during the shaping process.
Artisan wood build Made from durable, strong wood designed to last for a long time and resist changing shape with daily use.
Simple for elegant shapes It makes creating sophisticated curves very easy, helping you reach a new level of design in your vases and bottles.
