Maintenance Recommendations
Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, dry with a towel and let air dry.
Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
When you use the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the basin water to clean it but then leave it outside, do not leave it floating.
Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
Do not leave your very wet tools to dry lying on the table or on the plasterboard; it is important to dry them after washing them with the cloth and leave them hanging from the hole or standing upright on their base, but always let air circulate around them so that the wood can expel any remaining water naturally.
Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or some other special wood oil occasionally.
For occasional maintenance you can use very fine 240 sandpaper and special natural ointments or oils for wood, allowing the product to dry 24 hours before use.
If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can gently sand the surface with fine 240 sandpaper and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the correct operation of the tool.
The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.
SAFETY WARNING
Handle with care: Some tools have pointed ends. While they are not sharpened, they can cause skin injury if used or handled improperly.
Professional use: Keep out of reach of children. Use only for pottery purposes.
The essential bridge between form and surface: meet the SET-3E. Why choose between a good shape and creative details? I designed the SET-3E as a versatile 3-piece kit that covers the most important steps of finishing a pot. This set combines the long, clean reach of the R1 tool with the rhythmic patterns of the D-P1 and D-P2 texture tools. It is the perfect collection for potters who want to keep clean lines while experimenting with bold patterns.
Each tool in the SET-3E is hand-crafted in my workshop to ensure a smooth experience on the wheel. The R1 allows for steady shaping of walls and rims, while the D-P series tools feature wavy edges that transform plain clay into a beautiful surface of light and shadow. Hand-sanded for a professional finish, these tools offer the comfort and reliable performance that only high-quality wood can provide.
Why is the SET-3E so useful?
Technical reach Includes the R1, which has a long shape perfect for stabilizing tall walls and fixing straight rims.
Dynamic texture duo Features two different tools for a wide range of rhythmic patterns and surface effects.
Artisan design Each tool is designed with finger holes for a secure grip and better control over the pressure you apply.
Ready for the studio Made from select wood treated to work well with water, hand-finished by me to ensure they move smoothly and last a long time.
Simple and creative It makes it very easy to move from shaping your pot to adding professional textures in just a few seconds.
