Maintenance Recommendations
Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, dry with a towel and let air dry.
Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
When you use the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the basin water to clean it but then leave it outside, do not leave it floating.
Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
Do not leave your very wet tools to dry lying on the table or on the plasterboard; it is important to dry them after washing them with the cloth and leave them hanging from the hole or standing upright on their base, but always let air circulate around them so that the wood can expel any remaining water naturally.
Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or some other special wood oil occasionally.
For occasional maintenance you can use very fine 240 sandpaper and special natural ointments or oils for wood, allowing the product to dry 24 hours before use.
If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can gently sand the surface with fine 240 sandpaper and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the correct operation of the tool.
The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.
SAFETY WARNING
Handle with care: Some tools have pointed ends. While they are not sharpened, they can cause skin injury if used or handled improperly.
Professional use: Keep out of reach of children. Use only for pottery purposes.
Master the flow of organic forms: meet the T2. The beauty of a ceramic piece often lies in the transition between its base and its body. I designed the T2 technical tool to be your primary tool for navigating those complex, sweeping curves. Featuring a special curved shape, this tool allows you to fix the "belly" of a vase or the soft inside of a bowl with perfect continuity. It is the bridge between building the shape and making it look beautiful.
Hand-carved in my workshop from premium dark wood, the T2 is made for precision. The sharp point is perfect for cleaning up the bottom of your pot or making a clean line, while the long, elegant curve handles the main body of the piece. Hand-sanded for a very smooth finish, this tool provides a responsive connection, letting you feel every small change in the wall thickness as you move over it.
Why is the T2 so useful?
Special organic shape Designed specifically for smoothing and fixing curved transitions that standard tools cannot reach.
Precision cleaning Features a sharp edge ideal for defining the bottom of the pot and removing extra wet clay from the base.
Central pivot grip The finger hole provides a secure anchor point for steady pressure as the wheel spins.
Artisan dark wood Made from water-resistant wood and hand-finished to ensure a smooth move without dragging on the clay.
Simple for silhouettes It helps you create smooth, continuous lines without the marks often left by other tools.
