Notes and recommendations
- Wash by hand with water removing all clay or mud, towel dry and leave to air dry.
- Do not leave your tools submerged in water or soaked.
- When using the tool on the lathe, you can submerge it in the water in the basin to clean it but then leave it out, do not leave it floating.
- Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
- Do not leave your very wet tools to dry lying on the table or on the plasterboard; it is important to dry them after washing them with the cloth and leave them hanging from the hole or standing upright on their base, but always let air circulate around them so that the wood can expel any remaining water naturally.
- Apply mineral oil and beeswax ointment or other special wood oil occasionally.
- For occasional maintenance you can use fine sandpaper 240 and ointments or special natural oils for wood, let the product dry 24h before use.
- If at any time you notice that the wood is rougher than you like after the first use or at later times, you can sand the surface with fine sandpaper 240+ and reapply protection for a smoother finish to the touch. This aspect does not affect the proper functioning of the tool.
- The final product may have slight variations in color and wood grain due to the use of a natural raw material.
Achieve that perfect curve effortlessly with the V11. Trying to get a smooth and even shape on a vase using just your fingers is very difficult. One wrong move and your curve can become a mess. That is why I made the V11. It is designed for potters who love rounded shapes and want to get a professional, smooth look in just a few tries.
I have spent many hours in my workshop making sure this specific curve glides over the clay like a dream. It is the perfect tool for moving from a narrow bottom to a wide, graceful body. It takes the guesswork out of shaping, leaving you with pieces that look balanced and beautiful.
Why is the V11 so useful?
Natural shapes: It is specially carved for rounded shapes and elegant vase profiles.
Smooth flow: Its deep curve makes it easy to go from the bottom to the top of your piece without any bumps.
Made by a potter: I hand-sand every single tool in my workshop. It is made to fit comfortably in your hand so you don't get tired.
High-quality wood: It stays soft and smooth so your clay stays smooth too while you work with water on the wheel.
Professional results: It helps you make pots that look so good people will ask how you did it.
